The grant writers at Worlddome have developed a self-sufficiency component that will transform the people served by non profit organizations from destitute into productive members of society.

Our plan is to open our first store in June 2010, in Southern California with goods made from street merchants in Haiti, Europe, Africa, India, Asia and America. Since we are also world class website designers and Search Engine Optimization professionals, we will also build an ecommerce enabled website, for these merchants.

We have grant writing clients from all over the world that will be participating in this first of it's kind global self-sufficiency component.

Worlddome will supply inventory sheets that will identify each merchant, a description of the goods to be sent to the store and the cost of each item. The merchants will be paid 100 percent of the asking price identified in the inventory sheet. The nonprofit organization will be required to open a Paypal or Google Checkout Account where the profits will be deposited weekly.

Each item must have a unique description using the first three letters of first name of the merchant and the first name of the nonprofit organization. An example would be the organization Save The Children sponsoring a merchant named Iman who sells jewelry, would read: SaveImajewelry. This way each merchant and sponsoring organization would be properly credited and paid.

We encourage each sponsoring organization to mark up each item by 25 percent and we will mark up each item by 50 percent. This means that the nonprofit organization will receive 25 percent, the merchant will receive 100 percent and we will receive 50 percent from each item sold.

We do not make inventory purchases but we will market, advertise and ship worldwide. It is important to note that worlddoome.com/shop.html is on the first page of google results for “shop online duty free” and #3 for “shop online for jewelry duty free” out of more than 22 million search results.

There will be a $200 USD participation fee that may be paid in cash or merchandise. The cost of posting these items on the Internet is included in the total $200 participation fee. If your organization determines that you would like a grant proposal written to cover the administrative cost to implement this program, we will write grant proposal for you at a cost of $50.00 USD and this will include a mailing list.

Our objective is to make your organization self-sufficient. There is a tremendous backlash against retail environments selling merchandise only “Made in China”. We expect this venture to be extremely successful based on the thirty-five years I have operated my family owned business.

FOR VISUAL ARTISTS

WORLDDOME, will host a series of fine art shows to fund desperately needed entrepreneur-training programs. The unemployment rate is above 12 percent, which is higher than it has been in 40 years.

Each weekend WORLDDOME will host fine art shows in Pasadena California at our WORLDDOME Fine Art Gallery & Boutique location.
