Program Summary: This is entrepreneur training and small business development program.
Eligible Applicants are nonprofit organization and small business ventures. We are looking for a total of 100 nonprofit organizations who can manage 100 participants each, for a total of 10,000 participants. Smaller nonprofit organizations are encouraged to collaborate and partner.
Each nonprofit organization will have one trainer to provide business plan development assistance to 100 participants.
Methods – Classroom training will be provided five days a week with each participant attending one two-hour class one day per week for business plan development. Each class will have 20 participants.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING -
Additional specific training will be provided via online and video conferencing. Video conferencing training will be provided five days a week for one hour per day, Monday to Friday. The video and online training will be specific to a vocational path.
Specific Training Areas
HUD Housing Grant Consultants – These consultants will be trained to complete HUD Housing Grant Applications for low-income residents.
Green Carpenter Training – Green Carpenter training participants will be trained to weatherize, solar panel installation, wheelchair accessible and emergency home repairs. Our Green Carpenter Training will be specific to HUD Grant Recipients.
Real Estate Consultants – When the real estate market bottoms out we will be in place to purchase residential and commercial real estate. Real Estate Consultants will be provided training in all areas of real estate consulting for investors.
Website Designers – No field is growing faster than the Internet. We will provide training for participants who will become website designers.
Internet Marketing Consultants – We will provide training in Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing.
Computerized Accounting – We will teach Excel and Quick books
Microsoft Office 2007 -
English language and Spanish language classes will be taught to all participants as a pre requisite via video conferencing.
All training programs will begin June 13, 2010 – Participants will be eligible to receive funding once business plans have been completed and approved.
Funding Opportunity Description: Pursuant to the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended, EDA announces general policies and application procedures for grant-based investments under the Public Works, Planning, Local Technical Assistance, and Economic Adjustment Assistance Programs that will promote comprehensive, entrepreneurial and innovation-based economic development efforts to enhance the competitiveness of regions, resulting in increased private investment and higher-skill, higher-wage jobs in areas experiencing substantial and persistent economic distress.

Free Website Design
There is no charge to build the ecommerce enabled website. The only cost is a monthly charge of $10.95 for website hosting and maintenance.
Every business must have a professionally designed website that is ecommerce enabled. One of our primary objectives is to build a website for each entrepreneur and small business owner enrolled in The Legacy Project.
Our secondary objective is to award grant funds for each program participant that we build a website for.
To qualify for grant funds, a grant proposal must be written by our organization "Image Research & Communication" and submitted to our funding sources.
The grant proposal will be based on the information located in the participant's business plans. The total fee to write the grant proposal is $600.00 per program participant.
Terms of payment are $49.95 per month for 12 months and must be paid online via Paypal or Google Checkout.
Take the first step and get registered: This means pay your first monthly fee of $49.95 and send us an email with your contact information. We need your full name, the name of your business, phone numbers, mailing address and email address. The registration fee is non-refundable.
Image conducts two website design workshops each Friday at 12 noon and at 12:30 Each workshop is 30 minutes long. Seating is limited and all participants must be prompt.
The free websites do not include flash animation or sideshows. Images and other website content must be provided by each participant.
The primary objective of the website design workshop is to help each participant identify what background color will be used in the development of his website as well as number of columns, colors, text and web page layout.
An example of what we are looking for would be: White background, three columns with the navigation menu on the left. Column colors left to right, would be blue, green and yellow with black text.
Website content or text must be provided by the participant along with any website images. Images must be edited for size and content should be complete. If we are to write content and edit images there will be a $25.00 per page fee. Website hosting is free for one year, if we are writing your grant proposal. However, website maintenance is not included. There is a monthly website maintenance fee of $10.95 per month.
The purpose of the website design workshop is to teach participants how to to edit images and develop website content.
