The Virgin Islands Daily News is online documentation from a non-fiction writer, Nancy Holloway-Prince and proof that truth is stranger than fiction. The Wall Street Journal says corruption is the number one problem in the Virgin Islands. Most people who live in the Virgin Islands can’t speak up for themselves for fear of retaliation.

When I wrote “Corruption In America’s Paradise” and uploaded it to the Internet I purchased a life insurance policy, it’s a who’s who.

My new non-fiction book “Slumlords Of The Virgin Islands” identifies people who rent out dilapidated and unsafe apartments or houses in the Virgin Islands. These landlords are real estate developers, government contractors and government officials.

Things have changed for the better since I started exposing the unsafe conditions of a property owned by The Counsel General Of The Virgin Islands. However, there still remains serious issues like the infrastructure of the building. The Counsel General's property is suffering still from extreme deferred maintenance. In time I will document more properties and property owners who don't respect their tenants or their investment. My day job is writing books and articles about business, finance and real estate.

Please keep in mind, the people who I identify by name in my books have all approached their lawyers to have their names removed. This is documentation and is true.

I pay $2.59 each day to protect my family against deadly mosquito's. I was unaware of the rats before I moved in and told Grace Blak that I needed screens, she said she would take care of it.

REFUSED SCREENS, REFUSED TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST RATS AND ROTTEN TREE BRANCHES.

Cindy Bailey from The Trust Of George Conrad, office located at the Scandinavian Center located in building #3 said the exterminator can be called to install traps and I would have to clean them out.

I told Cindy Baily that I worked for a living and could not clean dead rats from traps. I further told Cindy Baily that I was sure that there was a code or an ordinance that would back me up.

Had I known that the building was infested with rats I would not have moved in.

There is just one rat visible in this photo the other 25 I counted were camera shy.

I had a conversation with the neighbor about the rats, he said there are scores of them in the tree above the trash cans frequently.

Furthermore, There are several dead tree branches, some of them very large 20 to 30 feet long which can kill someone if struck.

Cindy Baily of the Scandinavian Center located in building #3 laughed when I told her about the child that was killed a couple of years ago by a falling rotten tree branch at Gomez School in St. Thomas.

Even though I spoke to Grace Blak the wife of Soren Blak about screens for the apartment and she told me that she would follow up on the screens. Now she claims to have told me that she could not provide me with screens.

Mosquito's carry deadly disease and a house in the tropics without screens is a health hazard.

I spend $2.59 each day to burn coils that are design to repel mosquito's. Grace Blak said she wrote me a letter regarding the rats, the rotten tree and no screens. Grace Blak refused to speak with me regarding the final outcome of the letter. Grace Blak did say she wanted happy tenants and I did not seem to be happy.

My neighbors are from Haiti and The Dominican Republic and have a different stand of living from someone not from a third world country.

I will be sending this website address and link to all insurance companies, the health department and the Governors office of The Virgin Islands. I will also send a link to each Senator elected to office in The Virgin Islands.

Since this web site has been uploaded to the Internet, the landlord Soren Blak has trimmed the rotten branches significantly! Before this web site was published to the Internet Grace Blak sent me a letter stating a tree branch would be trimmed.

 

Grace Blak said they want happy tenants and if I couldn't be happy I could move. I decided to become an advocate for people who pay good money to slum lords, so I built 25 web sites...

Timing is everything! I have spoken truth to power in the United States Virgin Islands since 2002 first in a book entitled “Corruption In America’s Paradise” and to the international cosmetic industry with another book “Secrets Skincare Companies & Dermatologists Don’t Want You To Know” since 2001.  Liz Guzman a writer from North Carolina contacted me for a review of “Cosmetic Cop” Paula Begons skincare line in 2002.

My book about corruption identifies pillars of the community caught in damning situations, saying or writing things they now regret as does their lawyers. The skincare book has natural skincare formulas and speaks the truth about the way cosmetic companies turn natural ingredients into chemicals.  

No lawsuit for telling the truth. I walked my book about corruption into the FBI office and the Department of Justice in St. Thomas, USVI, demanding an investigation into a prominent non-profit organization and got one. They are no longer active as a non-profit organization.  Most people whose names are still published on the Internet in this book are prominent in government, business and community leaders.

Trouble and controversy seem to follow me no matter where I go. Wouldn’t you know just recently an official of the Danish Government and Virgin Islands Government committed regretful acts documented by yours truly.

The public display of this website I have created documenting some of the more life threatening issues surrounding this property is very damaging to the Counsel General of the Virgin Islands especially since everyone with an email address at the Danish Embassy was sent a link. I even phoned his boss at the Danish Embassy in New York directly where he gave me his email address personally.

This landlord guy is pissed and so is his lovely wife Grace! What do you think people in power do when they get pissed on? It’s all about payback and I am the intended target!  How could the Counsel General of the Virgin Islands for the Danish Government and his lovely wife Grace image one of their tenants, would turn out to be not just a freelance writer but one who specializes in real estate? I am a freelance writer with references and samples.

I am taking photos of them watching me (late model black Mercedes SUV with a license plate that reads QUEEN B) Who ever it was in the USV took off as soon as I snapped their photo watching me.

I’m hysterically amused!  Very soon (tomorrow morning) I will be laying out rattraps for the purpose of shooting video of trapped rats to be uploaded to UTUBE. This property is also rat infested.

 A large segment of the middle classes are renters due to the sluggish economy and you can’t tell us to move when you refuse to correct a life-threatening repair of your rental property.

We have already moved from the homes that have been foreclosed on because our jobs have been outsourced to a cheaper foreign labor market. We’ve been moved out of our six figure careers that took us six years of college to achieve. We’ve already moved from a position in proximity to achieving the American Dream to rental property that the fat cat landlords won’t even make safe without a website, never mind painting, cleaning the carpets and securing the toilet seat to the toilet. 

I am a non-fiction writer. I make my living writing about business, the economy, technology, cosmetics and real estate. In the Virgin Islands I have stepped on a lot of toes, just by daring to tell the truth and wouldn’t you know they are investigating me again. Seems the Counsel General of The Virgin Islands better known as my slumlord has some juice.

My phone calls are being recorded, my house is being watched and I am being baited to make a mistake. If they catch me doing something they can prosecute me for I will have to take what I have written about St. Thomas off of the Internet.

No such luck, I am cleaner than they are and I am no longer dating the Assistant District Attorney’s womanizing husband. The one who said he wasn’t married. I did just send his best friend a former Lt. Governor of the Virgin Islands an email informing him that his friend was eligible for inclusion in my new book.

I am on the hit list of more than a few government lawyers, because I’ve embarrassed them publicly in court and on the Internet with the truth, slumlords because since the website has been uploaded they are fixing their properties and sex addicts in high places.

I operate on instincts because I have learned to trust myself. I can’t always fight, but seldom am I unable to fight or run.

I’m a 54 year-old athlete. Yesterday a young man said I looked good for my age. I asked him how old he thought I was he said 40. I said I’m 54 and the look of disbelieve on his face was very satisfying. Just recovering from a serious injury I can run, but I cannot yet fight.

In one of my writings on the Internet I mention a crime I had been trying to report to Homeland Security for several months. The same day I uploaded the entry, Homeland Security called me and invited me to come into the office to report the incident again. So when I say that I am being investigated again, I can quantify my suspicion.

Truth is stranger than fiction and lets face it you can’t make-up stuff this good.  I’m looking for an agent who can help me find a publisher for  “Slumlords Of The Virgin Islands”.  Anyone who has been to St. Thomas understands what I am writing about the physical evidence of abject poverty and ambivalence is widespread. The reason the government won’t do more to enforce safe living standards is because they don’t want to offend their friends like the Counsel General of the Virgin Islands, Soren Blak and his lovely wife Grace.

Many people with money in power and position are slumlords in the Virgin Islands, how far will they go to prevent this book from being written and published?

SCORES OF RATS TRAVEL UP AND DOWN THE GUTTER IN FRONT OF MY APARTMENT. I HAD TO MOVE MY BED TO KEEP FROM HEARING THE RATS AT 2AM.

My neighbor noted scores of rats in the tree above the trash cans frequently. I will be sending video to CNN and other news outlets.

FALLING ROTTEN TREE BRANCHES KILL PEOPLE AND DAMAGE PROPERTY! ONE OF THESE LARGE TREE BRANCHES ARE OVER MY DOOR.
